In April, my city held a fifth-grade “what I love about my city” poster contest. I used oil pastels markers to draw the water tower and it had a very good turn out. I went to the board meeting with about 9 other kids from different schools and found out what place we got. I won an honorable mention for my poster and got a certificate,  a water bottle, a t-shirt, a reusable bag, and a bunch of gift cards to some of my favorite places. Along with my poster, I had to wright a paragraph explaining what my picture is, why I chose it, and what it means.
